It’s never certain at this time of year what type of weather you can expect; snow-filled fun or days of sunshine—that’s part of the adventure. For those looking for a bit of adventure, you couldn’t pick a better place. Big Bend National Park is an outdoor lover’s paradise and there are plenty of experiences here for even the hardiest of adventurers.

There are a number of stunning hiking trails in the area ranging from easy to difficult. Some of the easier trails are even wheelchair accessible! But for those looking for a bit more of a challenge, the near 17 mile Chisos Mountain Loop is the perfect way to begin. This challenging circuit includes rolling hills, forest paths, strenuous ups, and downs but the stunning vistas are worth it—trust us!
